Birthday Party

Flash Fiction Setting

He had no idea what he had done in his past life to deserve this.

He was a good person.

He WAS.

And yet here he was, making balloon animals in some ten year old’s birthday party at McDonald’s.

When his manager has given him the opportunity to earn a few more bucks, this was definitely not what he had in mind.

But it was too late to change his mind, he realized, as his face stung from the paint and his fingers ached from the many balloons he had attempted to pass off as animals.

At least the kids didn’t seem to mind his glare too much, aside for that one kid that had burst into tears the second Diego turned his glare his way.

Oh well, you win some you lose some.
